The artistic prowess and achievements of the SMC Varsity Players were celebrated and recognized in the recently concluded Royals Varsity Party last May 30, 2019 from 10:00 in the morning up to 12:00 noon at the Royals Gym.
The school's budding young sports players in basketball, volleyball, football and taekwondo all bonded and looked back with joy at this year's highlights together with the event's speaker, who was none other than 12-time All Star PBA legend, Mr. Alvin Patrimonio.
The renowned PBA player delivered his message of encouragement to the young Royal athletes and afterwards made all comer's hearts happy as he smilingly posed in photos and signed autographs for all.
"Abilities plus attitude equals good results', quoted Mr. Patrimonio, reminding the student- athletes of the importance of discipline, taking care of their health, and listening to one's coaches in making it to the top. This message also resonated with the core values of SMC and the school's vision in developing students who are excellent not only in academics and in sports, but also in attitude and character.
The day culminated with the best performers of the year in each varsity team receiving awards such as Athlete of the Year, Mr. Basketball, Ms. Volleyball to name a few.
