WHY WE'RE WORLD CLASS?
Here are the reasons why SMC delivers a world-class education:
1. International-based curriculum for Basic Education
We use an international-based curriculum. South Mansfield College Basic Education division offers Pre-school to High school. For Gradeschool to Highschool, the curriculum in Math and Science are based on British Standards; Common Core (U.S.A.) standard for English; Preschool curriculum on Pennsylvania standards.
2. Supervised by Southville International School and Colleges
Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) is an institution accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), U.S.A. It joins the ranks of other WASC-accredited schools in the U.S.A. such as Stanford University, Pepperdine University, and University of California. SISC is recognized by the Department of Education as "School of the Future".
3. Well Rounded Institution
South Mansfield is committed to develop and equip learners with the 4 pillars of success in the 21st century; Academic Excellence, Values Excellence, Interpersonal Sensitivity, Drive or Discipline to Achieve.
4. Technology-Assisted Learning
Learning in South Mansfield College is fun and engaging with the use of technology. In Science and Math, students enhance their learning through the Active Teach and Khan Academy. Their skills in English are made on a par with international standards through the use of Grammarly and their writing output is uploaded in Turnitin to ensure that they are not plagiarized. Lessons are also uploaded in Moodle for ease of access wherever they go.
5. Vibrant Student Life
Students in South Mansfield College develop not only the mind but also the heart and the will. We offer a variety of interest clubs and sports groups where students participate in different social and cultural enhancement activities. Students benefit from hands-on activities in arts and performance guild, as well as in environmental club.
6. Strong empirical research orientation
In SMC, graduating grade school and high school students are required to undertake descriptive and experimental research from a topic of their interest. Apart from this, students also conduct investigatory projects and are required to submit scientific paper.
