“My kids loved and really enjoyed the Bright Start Program!”
Studies show that early educational experiences help children gain confidence and help them prepare for what’s ahead. Exposure to such experiences also fosters positive relationship with peers and teachers. This summer, South Mansfield College opened the Bright Start Program for kids ranging from 3 to 10 years old. The program gave students the chance to experience learning at SMC. This year, the program ran for three (3) weeks from May 8 to June 2, 2017 and was actively participated in by eighty (80) amazing students from preschool to grade school. The preschoolers enjoyed making their own mais-con-yelo which definitely beat the heat of summer, while the grade school students recited a poem and completed differentiated activities on the eight planets. The last day of the program served as a culminating activity where students received their certificate of completion. Parents were very supportive and were very thankful for their child’s new experience at SMC.
